[adrotate banner=”18″]Fireman had to rescue three tourists from Holland on top of Volc¡n Barº in Panama’s Chiriqui province. One of the woman was found with a leg injury while the others showed signs of exhaustion.
Manuel De la Cruz, a member of Chiriqui’s fireman team, said the tourists received first aid from paramedics but refused to be taken to a hospital in Boquete or David and wanted to return directly to their hostel in Boquete.
De la Cruz stated that the women showed signs of exhaustion and dehydration resulting from the low temperatures and rain that occurred that day. The tourists also did not have a tour guide with them, which is recommended when hiking up Volc¡n.
