I’m Joey, an expat and local blogger of this website pty.life in Panama City, Panama. I’ve decided to go from writing about Panama to actually showing people the ins and out of this hot metropolis. I don’t like to refer to what I’m doing as a “tour” but more of an experience. Consider me your new friend in Panama that’s here to help you discover the secrets of the city.
The day starts in the historic Casco Viejo neighborhood at a trendy hotel for our meeting point. From here you will walk to the local Santa Ana neighborhood known for its colorful street art and its bustling pedestrian avenue to source fresh ingredients for mojito making at the street market.
From here we will stop and pick up a variety of ceviches in front of the fish market to enjoy later on with the mojitos. Next you’ll be welcomed to a private rooftop to watch a beautiful sunset while making your own mojito, sampling Panamanian rum, and trying a variety of ceviches.
This experience is also friendly for vegans, vegetarians, people with seafood allergies, and everyone open to trying something new as there will also be a vegan ceviche served with the mojitos. You can also make the mojitos without alcohol and still enjoy the experience.

*The building does not have an elevator so you must be able to go up four floors of stairs.
*You can make the mojito without alcohol and still enjoy the experience!
*It typically does not rain at the hours this experience but I will have umbrellas with me just in case it does!
