The price of a liter and tetra pack of pasteurized milk in Panama was increased by 15 cents on Tuesday, March 17.

According to the two major dairies, they had to increase the price due to the recent increase in the cost of electricity that began in January.

Milk is one of the grocery items in Panama that I already find to be expensive and I’ve seen the price steadily increase each year I’ve been living here.

I'm from Louisville, Kentucky and moved to Panama in 2011 to finish a degree in International Business. I enjoyed the hot tropical weather and the lifestyle on offer in Panama City so much that I decided to make it my permanent residence.
