There’s been a number of rooftop bars opening over the past few years and Panama City’s tropical climate creates the perfect environment for them. Check out these places and enjoy the spectacular views, a refreshing cocktail, and beautiful people.
Selina

Selina is where you’ll find the cool kids of Panama City sipping on cocktails and craft beer. The decor is tropical chic, utilizing lots of plants and vibrant murals splashed along the walls. They organize lots of weekly events like live salsa music, electronic music DJs, acoustic concerts, and more – so you can always count on something going on. You can also stay at Selina if you want to always be in the middle of the action.

Luna Rooftop

Luna Rooftop is where you’ll find the best city center view as it’s surrounded by Panama City’s most iconic skyscrapers. They have an extensive drink menu that includes passion fruit mojitos, margaritas, sangria, and more or you can also order bottle service. They also have a delicious tapas-style menu and I recommend trying the ceviche or pork belly with tamarind sauce while you’re here.

Terrat Rooftop

Terrat Rooftop is giving off all the tropical vibes you’ve ever needed. The decor is super colorful and surrounded by palm trees, stringed lights, and hip beats. The food here utilizes fresh, tropical ingredients on the menu and the tapas-style plates are perfect for sharing. They also feature a sunset happy hour on weekdays from 4 pm – 7 pm.

Vista Corona

The newly opened Vista Corona rooftop offers a fabulous place to watch the sunset and enjoy a drink. And if you are there during sunset (around 6 pm) they give all attendees a Coronita beer for a group cheers.

El Faro has one of the best views and sits on the border of Casco Viejo and the skyscrapers of Panama City view a gorgeous view of both. They are famous for their seafood dishes, mojitos, and other rum-based drinks.

W Panama

The W Panama is located in the heart of Panama City’s shiny skyscrapers and offers a gorgeous view from the pool terrace. It’s technically not a rooftop but it’s high up enough and makes a great spot to socialize with a cocktail.

Casa Casco

Casa Casco features three different restaurants, a nightclub, and a beautiful rooftop terrace overlooking the historic district. My advice is to head up here at 6 pm for a spectacular view of the sunset.

Tantalo

Tantalo was the first rooftop bar in Casco Viejo and it’s still one of the best. The hipster stringed lights and view of the modern Panama City skyline is the perfect ambiance to sip on a passion fruit mojito. There’s also something going on almost every night of the week like live art on Tuesday,

Panaviera

The Panaviera is located on the 66th floor of the Ocean Sun Casino, part of the JW Marriott Hotel and has the best view of a city sunset. As you walk in, the doors open to an over-the-top infinity pool flowing over the cityscape. The rooftop opens at 5 pm and I recommend arriving at that time to catch the last glimpse of the sun going down over the hills.

AC Hotel

The AC Hotel is also located in the city center and offers a sweeping view with an incredible infinity pool. The cocktail bar on the roof is only opened on the weekend but you can buy a drink on the lobby level any time and bring it up.

Baloo Cafe

Baloo Cafe is one of the few rooftops that isn’t just a bar. The first floor is designed to make you feel like you’re in a drawing and then you can head up to the rooftop to enjoy coffee, breakfast, and delicious desserts.
