Out of all the “barrios” (neighborhoods) in Panama, Casco Viejo is the most eclectic. It’s a mix of restored Spanish colonial buildings that are now boutique hotels & hostels, apartments, trendy bars, and restaurants. Interspersed between these are rundown buildings where a few local families live that proudly blast their music all day, with their windows and doors wide open, and a good view of what they are watching on their massive flat screen TV.
This interesting mix, in an amazing atmosphere, creates the perfect real-life setting for you to learn and practice Spanish in Panama.

Business Spanish: As the third most spoken language in the world, and one of only six official languages of the U.N., it pays to know Spanish – especially in a country with such huge real estate, banking, construction, and business opportunities like Panama. Speaking the local language will in turn let you offer a great deal more as a businessperson. (4-20 hours / week)
