Pretty much anywhere in the world, you can get food delivered to your place of residence. In Panama City, Uber Eats, Apetito24 and Glovo are some of the food delivery apps that are operational. Lots of restaurants and even small mom and pops will also send specialist food to your home, social area or party if you call or Whatsapp them directly. Beyond food, however, there are a range of surprising items you can shop for without ever stepping foot outside your casa. South African meats, anyone?
Massages
Feelin Relax is an at-home massage company with a roster of highly trained masseuses who visit you at home (or your hotel, workplace or place of choice) with aromatic oils, pure coconut oil and speakers to play ever-so-tranquil music that sweetens the experience further. Their signature service is the Feelin Relax massage; a combination of Shiatsu and a relaxing massage (the name gives it away). Individual sessions start at $59 for a blissful 60-minute session and payment is possible by cash or card. Services are available Monday to Sunday between 8 AM and 10 PM and amazingly, you can reserve as little as two hours ahead of your session. Without a doubt, you’ll be feeling relaxed when they’re done with you.
Tattoos
Yes, you read that correctly. You can even get inked from the comfort of your own home. The artist comes fully equipped with a worktable, sterile equipment and tattoo aftercare products.
Cold-pressed Juices
Life Blends is a family-run Panamanian company that makes completely natural and healthy cold-pressed juices. Their products are sugar and additive-free and their product portfolio has been expanded to include soups, nut-based milk and even nutritional coaching. They’re also committed to sustainability; they source all their ingredients from local farmers and recycle glass bottles. Hairstyling
You can get anything from haircuts, colouring and “curugia capilar” Keratin treatments at home if you’d rather not make the journey to a salon. Check the classified listings on Encuentra24 to find your at-home stylist.
Private Salsa Classes
Some Panama City dance schools have offshoot services including at-home classes in case your moves aren’t quite ready for public viewing. Private teachers can also show you the moves at home, at a park, along Cinta Costera or wherever you see fit.
Swimwear
When in need of new swimwear to enjoy Panama’s 1,500 miles of shoreline and countless paradise islands, the store can come to you. Brands like Mena Swimwear and Perle Swimwear cater to the ladies while gentlemen (and women) can shop at Lil Venice for tropical designer garments.
South African Meats
Biltong and boerewors are much-loved South African meat products that are relatively hard to come by this side of the world. Biltong is similar to beef jerky and boerewors is a delicious sausage hailing from southern Africa. Taste of Africa is a Chiriquí-based company that delivers these delicacies all around Panama.
