Malecón

Malecón is one of the few spots that regularly offers live salsa music in the Casco Viejo area on Friday & Saturday nights after 10 pm. The entry is free and they have great Panamanian inspired tapas and drinks!

Danilo’s Jazz Club

From Wednesday – Saturday you can stop by the classy Danilo’s Jazz Club next to the American Trade Hotel and immerse yourself in the soulful sound of jazz. Concerts normally start at 8:30 pm with a $15 entrance fee.

Piña Calavera

Piña Calavera is an alternative music venue in Casco Viejo is the perfect spot to jam out and play a game of pool. Events vary every week but you can typically find live music from Thursday – Saturday.

Lynchburg

Lynchburg is an authentic German bar in the San Francisco neighborhood offers up live rock, acoustic, and blues sessions every Wednesday & Friday.

Rock & Folk

Also located in the San Francisco neighborhood, Rock & Folk is an alternative bar with a live recording studio, stage, and tattoo shop.

Zaza Lounge

Every Friday you can enjoy a live salsa band at Zaza Lounge in Casco Viejo for their weekly Latin Night. The music typically starts around 10 pm and will go until the wee hours of the night.

Istmo

Istmo is local neighborhood brewery has locations in El Cangrejo, San Francisco, and Condado del Rey with varying live music acts throughout the week. They are also one of the few pet-friendly bars in Panama so be sure to take your best friend with you!

Hangar 18

Hangar 18 is the best place to go for alternative style rock like ska, death metal, punk and more.

Casa Casco

Enjoy an intimate live acoustic concert every Thursday on the beautiful Casa Casco rooftop after 9 pm.

El Sotano

El Sotano or “The Basement” is an amazing spot to listen to live local talent. They also have a bar upstairs called El Apartamento (The Apartment) that is a bit more chill when you need a break from the music.
