Best Rooftop Bars in Panama

There’s been a number of rooftop bars opening over the past few years and Panama’s tropical climate creates the perfect environment for them. Checkout these places and enjoy the spectacular views, beautiful people, & unique ambiences:

Stands for Bar In The Sky and they aren’t joking. It’s located 62 floors above Panama City at the Hard Rock Hotel and is currently the highest nightclub in Latin America. Let’s just say you’ll feel your ears start to pop as you go up the high speed elevator. The entire bar is surrounded by glass walls that let you take in the amazing city views.

Tantalo hotel

I’ve written about Tantalo a few times but that’s because it remains one of my favorite bars. It’s located in Casco Viejo and has a great view of the Panama City skyline and historical buildings surrounding Casco. It’s open everyday but the best days to go are Wednesday for their latin night as well as Friday and Saturday. Cover is typically $10 after 9 pm.

This is also located in Casco Viejo and is a really good rooftop bar to go to if you want a more relaxed and chill ambience than Tantalo. It offers really good views of Casco Viejo and they always have good music as well. Cover is normally free for girls and $10 for guys.

Panaviera is located on the 66th floor of the Sun Casino in Trump Ocean Club and offers some of the most stunning city and ocean views I have seen in Panama City. They also have a great happy hour on Thursday, Friday, and Saturday from 5pm to 8pm with open champagne for $10 that you can sip on while watching the sunset.

Gatto Blanco

Gatto Blanco

This is located on the roof of the Casa Nuratti Hotel in Casco Viejo. The relaxed intimate setting provides great views of the Panama City skyline and Casco Viejo. They don’t normally charge cover to go up there so it’s a good place to go for a few drinks and then head somewhere bigger to continue the party.

1400 Rooftop

1400 Rooftop

This is the latest rooftop bar to open at the new BlueBay Hotel in the Obarrio neighborhood. Definitely one of the top places to party in Panama City right now.

Great line up. There are 10 girls heading to Panama in February and we want to make it an aamzing weekend. Where is the ultimate best, yet classy place to party? Keep in mind we are all closer to 30 than 20??

A great idea, enjoyed reading your round-up of rooftop bars (I didn't know about the Panamericana!) I enjoyed going to the Manrey when it first opened and found the food to be excellent, as well. Today Tantalo has probably taken the number one spot in my list of favorites, since it's so easy to have dinner and drinks there.

Panama has come a long way from the days when the Costa del Sol housed the only rooftop bar in the city (and the only Indian restaurant in town was downstairs!)

I really liked this report. Now I got a couple of places to add at my night's party. Congrats for this blog. We need that kind of blogs in Panama. I would like to read a report about beaches. It could be nice.
