7,784,328 people passed through Panama’s Tocumen Airport in 2013, which was a record number for Panama.
Up until October 2013, the Department of Tocumen International Airport Statistics had calculated 6,389,124 people which represented an increase of 12% compared to the same period in 2012.
The Tocumen airport operates with19 commercial flight companies that on average flew 21,326 passengers a day last year.
The most popular destinations were Miami, Bogot¡, San José, Cacun, La Habana, and D.F.
In November of last year Air France began providing direct flights from Panama to Paris and another airline called TAP announced that they will begin operating flights to Panama this year.
