I think we can all agree that everyone likes a bargain, especially if it involves alcohol. I’m a pretty thrifty drinker so my friends are constantly asking me where the best happy hours in Panama City are happening. Well the list is finally out! Here are my favorite spots to drink on the cheap (and sometimes free) in Panama City, Panama.

La Rana Dorada
Home to one of Panama’s oldest craft brewers, La Rana Dorada is also home to one of Panama’s best happy hours. If you visit any of their locations between 12 pm and 6 pm you’ll receive HALF OFF all of their craft beers. And also just a little tip that not everyone knows. If you visit their actual brewery warehouse (put Cerverceria La Rana Dorada into Google Maps or Uber) they have an extended happy hour from 4 pm – 8 pm on Friday and 12 pm – 6 pm on Saturday.
Fulo’s Gastrobar
Every Tuesday – Saturday from 5 pm to 8 pm Fulo’s Gastrobar in the San Francisco neighborhood serves up $4 margaritas, mojitos, and caipiriñas.

Pedro Mandinga
The owners of the Pedro Mandinga Rum Bar also own La Rana Dorada and they have passed on the tradition of happy hour. If you visit Pedro Mandinga every day before 7 pm you can get their famous Mandinga Mojito, Cuba Libre, or Rum Punch for just $5. They also sell their house artisanal rum at the bar which you can buy a small bottle of for $25 and drink at the bar to save on drinking costs.
El Social
El Social is the newest bar on the Casco block and has a great late night happy hour. If you visit on Sunday to Thursday between 5 pm – 10 pm they have 2×1 national beers, large craft beer for the price of a glass, and $4 house rum, vodka, seco, and wine.

Hippies
All you need is $10 on a Thursday night to get happy at Hippies. Every Thursday from 5 pm – midnight you can get unlimited mojitos, margaritas, sangria, or cocktails for just $10!
Tantalo
From Monday to Friday from 3 pm – 7 pm the cocktails & local beer at the Tantalo Rooftop are HALF OFF. However, be sure to clarify with the waiter which drinks are included in the happy hour because there was a big discrepancy on this last time I was there.

Malibu
Malibu Spirits & Eatery always has decent drink prices but if you’re a lady they serve OPEN MOJITOS every Tuesday from 5 pm – 8 pm. They also haven’t forgotten about the guys and offer the city’s only guys night (that I know of) with an OPEN BAR from 5 pm – 8 pm on Wednesday.
Nomada Eatery
It’s happy hour EVERY DAY at Nomada Eatery. Any day of the week you can stop by for 2×1 draft beers between 3 pm – 7 pm.

Chupitos 507
If you have a hankering for a hard night out on a Tuesday, then head to Chupitos 507. Every Tuesday they offer unlimited shots and local beer for just $19.99 starting at 8 pm.
