On Saturday I went to the Live Art Party at Onplog in Casco Viejo. I hadn’t been to Onplog for a while but it is a very neat space in Casco. The ceilings are low and when you walk in it basically feels like the coolest basement you have ever stepped into. They use a lot of recycled materials like egg cartons and computer microchips as wall art and wooden pallets for furniture. There is also a hidden door that leads out to a room with floating umbrellas hanging from the ceiling and a pool table.
The party was put together by the Young Expats in Panama Group and the events are a great way to meet some of the other expats and locals living in Panama. Cover was $5 and included a welcome drink (more places should do this) and there was a DJ playing crossover music throughout the night.
I had a good time and stayed until 3:30 am and then took an Uber ride back to my apartment. You can scroll through the above photos to check out how the night went.
