Abdiel Cano, director of the Water and Sewer Institute, announced that this Saturday, January 25th, the water will be shut off in Panama City for a duration of 12 hours.

– The affected areas are ones that are supplied by the Chilibre Plant.

– The suspension is programmed to start at 12:01 am and last until noon.

– The outage is due to routine maintenance to connect a 66 inch “T” of concrete as part of the “Proyecto de Agua Potable de Conades”.

*Just a personal recommendation – prepare to have no water for 24 hours just in case.  I’ve dealt with several water outages since living here and sometimes it comes back on in the announced time and sometimes it doesn’t.
