Panama has two new commercials out promoting the new slogan for the country: The Way and Made in Panama.  It highlights a growing city with glamorous skyscrapers, elite businessmen, and retirees enjoying their lives.  I thought that the commercials did a really good job of showing off some of Panama’s best attractions and it makes the city look really beautiful. I think it is a great step into promoting tourism for Panama.

However, I do think the commercial over-glamorizes Panama.  I love this city and I think that it is continuously improving, but it is not as perfect as it looks in the commercials.

    the same grim reality here in the US… drugs, gangs, and life in poverty, ghettos, etc. Have you been in Baltimore, Washington DC, and New York? Because I have been there and have seen enough.
    This is just to mention a few cities here in the US, so USA is a "Work in Progress" as well.

    Si-but they need to be prepared for the reality! 3rd World barrios 3 blocks away from where the photos were taken. Indifferent attitudes to the customer and their needs. Panama is still a "Work in Progress!" I love it but that's the reality!

    Wow… only elite, rich beautiful white people in the financial district with time to golf and party do well here? Sorry did I miss something? Wasn't that the point of the ads? Try living here and actually promoting the real Panama, the entire Panama and it's people. Don't see this as Tourism at all, just a 'flaunting in your face fluff vid' that doesn't show what it really takes to make it here. There are better ways to have positive promotion.
