Just past the port city of Portobelo in Colon, Panama, is a town called Puerto Lindo. There, a gorgeous oasis in the making awaits boaters who circumnavigate the Caribbean. They stop at or near Linton Bay Marina, which is in the process of construction to become the paradise of Panama for boaters wishing to do what all boaters wish to do: get off the boat.

Linton Bay Marina is not just a safe harbor for your boat to dock up, for you to hop off and exercise your sea legs on land. Linton Bay Marina, in the coming months, will be far more than that. In fact, amidst the master plan of construction underway, Linton Bay will soon be everything a boater and would-be boater dreams of docking up to, with everything they could ever need—be it a deep tissue massage, a chilled glass of Chardonnay, or a yoga retreat.

In just a few months, Linton Bay will boast a brand new, lovely restaurant and bar. The prime location of this budding boater’s paradise is also a short 20-minute ride to Portobelo, a small, seaside town full of shops, restaurants, and a plethora of Panama-specific specialties, from crafts and jewelry to freshly pressed, pure coconut oil.

Combine this with the boater’s mentality – the lifestyle that is living on the water with greater appreciation upon stepping foot onto land. The peaceful zen of disconnect from daily happenings beyond the sea deserves a delightful dose of disruption every now and again.

The folks at Linton Bay Marina—boaters themselves, understand. They know what you need, want, and desire when coming upon their marina from near or far on the water, and they gladly welcome you with hospitality only found otherwise in sweet cities like New Orleans.

Upon visiting Puerto Lindo last weekend, we enjoyed the grand tour of Linton Bay Marina, and marveled at the plans for what is to soon come just around the bend—luxury apartments and a divine community of like-minded adventurers. I can say firsthand that with my father as a boater himself, if I were to invite him out to Linton Bay, he would never want to leave.

Linton Bay Marina also offers use of the large travel lift manufactured by Ascom S.P.A., known for 30+ years of setting standards in such specific lifting equipment. The 120-ton capacity with 6 straps has a travel lift bay (jetty) with a 15-foot depth, fit for your boat maintenance needs.

Don’t take my word for it. Soon you may see for yourself this marvelous seaside paradise waiting for you to pull in, dock up, and hop off your boat. Have a look around, meet the kind folks running this ship, and enjoy the growing list of amenities, even the less fun, though often unavoidable boat maintenance. Despite the need for TLC—be it for you or for she, come to Linton Bay Marina to find peace of mind and sandy feet at this Caribbean retreat.
